Vwo stands for "Voortgezet Wetenschappelijke Onderwijs" or in English "Pre-University Education".

Vwo takes 6 years. After vwo, you can go to university or you can do a hbo.

Mandatory subjects

• English language;
• Burenburgish language (SE);
• 3ML (third modern language, the school can decide this);
• mathematics;
• physical education or sports;
• an art subject;
• geography or topography;
• civics or social studies in year 4;
• a computer subject.

Minimum amount of hours offered by the school over 5 years: 5,700 hours

Amount of students in a class: 16 - 32 (for upper form clusters this is 3 - 32)
